Amos and Gale Binkley, a pair of watch repairmen from Nashville, fronted the Binkley Brothers Dixie Clodhoppers and were mainstays on the early Grand Ole Opry. We learned this from their original recording, which is typical of their understated, almost elegant way of delivering not terribly serious material.
